Serenity up north

July 25, 2007
I spent last week up north in Norway on an island called Sanna on Træna om Helgelandskysten, as I’ve never been north of Trysil before it was quite an experience for me. I went fishing for the first time in my life, I got mostly cod, my least favourite fish ;)

The fashion of this trip however is a sad thing, wearing mostly sweatpants, raincoat and a bandshirt…We also went exploring caves, the island had quite a few of them, the most famous, Kirkhellaren, nicknamed Nature’s cathedral, bellow taken for the inside.
anyways…the weather was great, much better than back home, so we spent the days and nights snorkeling, reading in the sun, barbequing and eating our self-fished fish…a few more photos from Sanna

up north

July 16, 2007

At 00.05 am friday morning I saw Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix, what a movie! The fashions of harry potter ain’t much to talk about, but I noticed one thing, in almost every scene without robes Hermione and Ron almost always wore striped sweaters while Harry wore solid colored sweaters. Is it some kind of symbolic value to this, or is it completely random? Everyone who’s re

ad the books knows there’s something going on between Ron and Hermione, is the sweaters a symbol for this?? hehe sorry, I’m tired, but who knows? I’ve also started kind of a "Harry Potter quest" I hope to manage to re-read the six previous harry potter books before I get the last one, a few days late because of my vacation, oh and I have also started a "bet" with my sister, betting that I will be dating either Daniel Radcliffe or Rupert Grint by 2010, when the last Harry Potter movie premieres…hehe in my dreams.. Oh by the way, me favourite character in the movie was Luna Lovegood (Looney) played by Evanna Lynch…hehe she reminds me a bit about me…we’re both quite flakey…

my airplane outfit

At the moment its 02.20 am, and I haven’t fallen asleep yet, due to bad planning I had to write 3 articles for Portrait magazine and pack for my trip up north today, after leaving my dog with my grandparents. Sure I could’ve done it earlier, but my motto is something like this, "Everything I should have done yesterdat I’ll do some day next week", anyways I just didn’t have time! My main priority has been being with a friend of mine who moves to Ireland this fall, and splurge my money on sale at Gina Tricot…Anyways when packing for the trip I suffered, cause I wasn’t allowed to bring pumps, dresses and heaps of accessories, so what I packed was a pair of jeans, some tees, warm sweaters, trainers, wellies and a wet suit…oh and I also had to bring my one travelling essential, Green Chai Tea!! Above is the outfit I’m going to throw on in three and a half hours, when I’m going of to the airport, I don’t know if there will be an internet connection, but anyways I’m not allowed to bring my laptop and I sure wouldn’t waste my time online with all that beautiful nature…anyways I know the outfit ain’t too creative, but its comfortable, and gee its all from my splurge on Gina Tricot…

Metallica- I love you!

July 11, 2007

Last night Metallica played at Valle Hovin in Oslo, 40 000 crazy norwegian Metallica fans crammed into a sports arena…!!! I meant to take a photo of my outfit, but I frogot to do it before I left home, and when I got home at 1am I was too tired, and coverd in beer, I sure don’t understand how people can find it amusing to throw their beers in the air, its just a complete waste of money…I swear to god, this concert is the most extreme experience of my life so far,
when they finally got around to play Nothing else matters I had a shiver down my spine and almost started to cry and when they got to Seek and destroy I was euphoric, if I had died just then I would have died the happiest girl in the world! We got pretty close to the stage, but after the third song we had to move further back, cause some drunken men almost crushed us, talk about a bizarre way of having fun…Wonder if a concert crowd is a great place of meeting people? I hung over some guys shoulders most of the time, to avoid falling and be crushed to death, but he was kinda cute…The warm-up bands were norwegian Turbonegro and finnish HIM, I didn’t get around to see Turbonegro, but HIM dissaponited me. What I had heard of them before rocks my socks, but their performance last night sure didn’t! People gave them the finger and booed them off stage, quite rude actually as they’ve come to play for us, oh but the vocalist of HIM, Ville Vallo, sure is hot! anyways it was a great concert and I’m happy I had scheduled a pedicure today, cause my feet hurt after five hours on cement grounds in high heeled boots with steel soles..!

wimbeldon and the stomach flu

July 9, 2007

The past day’s I’ve had the stomach flu, and in no condition of blogging, my outfits has reflected my condition superbly, moping around in leggings, Enslaved band shirt in size XL, red wollen socks (knittedby my beloved grandma) and a red scrunchie, to matc my socks, and to keep my hair away…anyways I doubt a picture would be flattering…
While being sick I’ve mangaed to read almost an entire book of 700 pages and grown an interest for tennis, watching the Wimbeldon and a love for pouring rain. The reading wasn’t a huge surprise for me, as I’ve always loved to read. The interest for tennis, however is quite odd, as I’ve always thought tennis and golf the most boring and snobish sports ever. Some of today’s interest may be explained when you look a
the player’s they’re quite hot! I sure wouldn’t mind dating a wimbeldon winner, they get 700 000 £ in prizemoney, that sure is a high hourly salary! Here’s the top 15 reasons to date a tennis player (probably invented by the players themselves)

1. Even when they’re not scoring, they’re in Love
2. They do it on more than one surface
3. They hit from any angle
4. They grunt when the action heats up
5. They’re good with their hands
6. They do it with 2 or 4 people
7. They’ve got endurance to last 3 hours or longer
8. They wear tiny skirts/shorts for easy play
9. They know how to stroke it
10. They do it for unlimited minutes in many different postitions
11. They like to be on top of their game
12. They enjoy getting hot and sweaty
13. They work the balls really well
14. They know how to take it up the middle
15. They play the court until they score

Something that kind of infuritaed me with this whole event was the fact that Roger Federer (winner of the men singles) got one of those large ugly mugs, while Venus Williams (winner of women singles) "only" got a golden tea-tray…Anyways I doubt the tennis interest will extend longer than to the finales in wimbeldon and maybe I’ll tag along on some of my sister’s tournaments…

The wife of the swedish tennis legend Bjørn Borg had a weird/bad hair-weekend

Spanish Rafael Nadal (21) was the runner-up in the men’s finale, may not be photogenic, but quite hot on TV!

Swiss Roger Federer (25) don’t look bad either, and he and Bjørn Borg is the only one that’s won Wimbeldon 5 years in a row…

Venus Williams the winner in the women’s finals got 700 000 pounds and a neat tray for her next teaparty!

Christian Dior 60th aniversary

July 3, 2007

John Galliano

Last night the fashionhouse of Christian Dior celebrated their 60th couture collection in Versailles. The collection oozed of over the top Galliano style. This was also John Galliano’s tenth collection as designer for Dior.  The collection was heavily inspired by the artists August Renoir, Pablo Picasso and Edgar Degas as well as a little bit of japanese and spanish flamenco. Among the celebrities present were Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, Charlize Theron and Sophia Coppola and the catwalk was filled with supermodels such as Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Amber Valetta and Linda Evangelista. The extravaganca costed about 3,8 million dollars, and I sure would’ve given my left arm to be there!

Goodies from the attic

Here’s pictures of the goodies I brought home from grandma’s attic. The purse used to belong to one of my moter’s aunts, then my mother got it and now I, I love wearing pieces with a history. The russian/ eastern-european scarf I intend to wear as a babushka, I’m probably going to look like a russian grandmother! The Indian shawl is something I bought at a fleamarket a few years ago, don’t know how to use it yet.. The dress is kinda cool, my grandmother on my mother’s side bought this in London while my grandmother on my father’s side has a couch in the same fabric! guess floral print was in back then to…

The weekend

July 2, 2007

This weekend as been quite calm, my sister was in Copenhagen with my father on friday so my mother and I was alone, and as I said earlier we watched The queen with a neighbour, and got inspired to wear babushkas this fall, I don’t know if it actually happens though …We also went on a little shopping round downtown, we were supposed to shop groceries, but what can you do when there’s a sale, right? Anyways I ended up buying "a purple/ light- blue polkadot -50’s housewife-dress" on sale…

On saturday I went over to my best frien

d Marie, wearing my housewife dress. Of course Marte, Marie and I  felt a bit housewifeish and baked a cake. A chocolate cake with "seigmenn" inside and green icing ontop. Let’s just say it got really sweet and nauscious…oh yeah we’re gonna make great housewives:

I spent the sunday with my grandparents, cleaning out the part of their attic I’ve cluttered with things I need them to store, I also picked out a few babushka-like scarves, a purse and a dress to take back home, I’ll post pictures later…
